DIESTONE is a brand under the SOCOMORE Group.
The DIESTONE product line comprises a long-established range of powerful, multi‑purpose cleaning and degreasing solvents with controlled volatility, ideal for surface preparation prior to painting, adhesive application, and sealant application.
DIESTONE’s product development dates back to the 1970s, with the goal of helping customers reduce VOC emissions by replacing raw materials such as MEK or acetone. In addition, DIESTONE offers pre‑impregnated wipes that further minimize product consumption and VOC emissions. Users consistently praise this product line for its outstanding performance, non‑corrosive nature toward metals—including light alloys—and its safety: the products contain no teratogenic or carcinogenic ingredients, nor toluene or glycol ethers.
DIESTONE
The DIESTONE product line offers a variety of formulations, designed to provide each customer with features that meet their specific needs, such as:
- Depending on the formulation, flash points vary (ranging from 20°C to 99°C). Different types of wipes are suited to different applications. VOC content (volatile organic compounds). Evaporation rate. ETC.
DIESTONE products are widely used and have obtained nearly one hundred application certifications from major manufacturers—including SAFRAN, AIRBUS, BOEING, ALSTOM, and others—and are employed in the aerospace, automotive, rail, energy, and manufacturing sectors.
DISCOVERT products are plant-based cleaners and degreasers primarily used in the aerospace industry. In 2019, SOCOMORE acquired these French‑made products, integrated them into its product portfolio, and offered customers an alternative based on “green chemistry.”
DISCOVER
DISCOVERT products are readily biodegradable, have low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions, and are free of carcinogens, mutagens, and substances with reproductive toxicity (CMR), making them a safe and effective alternative to conventional solvents.
This scope specifically includes:
- Water-based degreaser/cleaner. Multi-purpose industrial degreaser/cleaner (suitable for most washable surfaces). Paint stripper and cleaner for painting equipment. Solvent for removing resins, polyesters, and adhesives.
Products are offered in various formats:
Bulk liquids. Pre-moistened wipes.
DYNAMOLD
SOCOMORE Group has acquired DYNAMOLD’s plastic gasket product line to complement its own aerospace‑focused product portfolio and provide customers with a comprehensive solution for the assembly of basic components in aerospace FAL workshops.
Dynamold moldable gaskets were jointly developed with General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin for use on their aircraft platforms, including the F‑111, F‑16, and F‑22. Today, Dynamold moldable gaskets are widely employed in the aerospace, maritime, and industrial sectors to fill gaps or compensate for misalignments in metal and composite components.
DYNAMOLD moldable gasket products are room-temperature-curing epoxy‑filled compounds. Using a proprietary process, they can be supplied as two‑component system kits in various sizes or as pre‑catalyzed frozen sheets of varying thicknesses. They significantly reduce assembly time and lower labor costs.
Advantages of frozen sheet‑type plastic gaskets:
- Minimize employees’ physical contact with uncured epoxy resin. Eliminate mixing and associated errors. Adjust thickness for each specific application. Can be molded to accelerate production. Significantly reduce recurring costs associated with material application, pressure application, and cleanup.
Plasticity of gaskets (liquid and frozen sheets):
It exhibits excellent adhesion to aluminum, titanium, steel, and all composite materials. It boasts high compressive strength and can be machined, drilled, and riveted. It is resistant to lubricating oils, fuels, paints, salt, moisture, solvents, acids, and Skydrol. It offers superior resistance to impact, vibration, and creep. It cures rapidly at room temperature and can also be cured under heat to shorten the curing cycle.
DYSOL
In 2013, the SOCOMORE Group acquired DYSOL to enter the U.S. market through its manufacturing facility in Texas. In 2020, DYSOL relocated to a newly built, custom-designed manufacturing and distribution center to offer North American customers the full range of SOCOMORE’s products.
DYSOL cleaning solvent is a biodegradable, high-flash-point product suitable for critical surface‑treatment operations in the aerospace, defense, electronics, and automotive industries—prior to painting, coating, bonding, sealing, or final assembly.
DYSOL products have earned widespread recognition from leading manufacturers in the aerospace and defense sectors, particularly in the United States.
