Infineon Technologies AG has introduced new current-rating modules for its 1200 V TRENCHSTOP® IGBT7 series. This further enhances the completeness of the Easy 1B and 2B product families, enabling power solutions of up to 11 kW when combined with the latest chip technology in a PIM topology, or up to 22 kW when implemented using a six-unit topology. Customers now have the flexibility to either replace IGBT4 with IGBT7 technology to increase system power when using Easy 2B modules, or, under specific conditions, substitute Easy 1B IGBT7 for Easy 2B IGBT4 to reduce the board space required to achieve the same power level. Like the previously launched TRENCHSTOP IGBT7 Easy modules, the new current-rating modules fully meet the design requirements for industrial drives.
